The reason that 'The White Album' is currently rated the best album of all-time on VinylSurrender is because of the 12-15 really excellent tracks on it. The problem, however, is that it's a double album with a number of pretty dreadful tracks as well such as 'Rocky Racoon' and 'Why Don't We Do It In The Road', so if you accumulate the votes from all the good tracks and add them together, you're going to get a really high rating, but that doesn't take into account the overall evaluation of the album as a whole when rating the bad tracks too. I think that 'Rubber Soul', 'Revolver' and 'Sgt Pepper's' are better albums as a whole, but that also reminds me of an album like 'Nevermind' by Nirvana which has one absolutely phenomenal track which bumps the rating up enormously. On that note, you'd have to say that 'The White Album' is also a phenomenal record because of the dozen or so fabulous tracks on it.  (Richard)
