Dave said: Although they were not the most commercially successful of the third wave ska bands, The Toasters were probably the most important to the emergence of third wave ska in the US in general and NYC in particular. While the ska shows of that era can't effectively be captured on record, The Toasters had a number of stand out recordings, including "Weekend in L.A.". It still holds up well and has a distinct sound compared to the earlier British ska revival.
