Claire Boucher has plenty of talent, but I get the feeling that the music is more ambient production and technical craftsmanship than real substance. Cruel words aside, this is a first, cursory listen and I'm enjoying the atmospherics on offer, even though it's not gritty or bestowed with easily digestible tunes. A second, third listen is definitely in order from this beautiful and very interesting lady, but still not much to get excited about besides the great image and fascinating looks.
