INCLUDED - 2008: Pitchfork Media TOP 10 Albums of 2008.
All album tracks from the top ten PF albums of 2008 have been boosted so as to reflect opinion.

ALSO TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION for 2008:

Spín Magazine, Drowned In Sound, Prefix Magazine, A.V.Club, Entertainment Weekly, Last.fm, Rolling Stone Magazine, Popmatters, Paste Magazine, Blender.

Other publications, NOT taken into consideration!

2008: Metacritic. MC is good, but the technique of choosing EVERY rating from EVERY music related publication and then calculating an average, doesn't really work. Some sites such as the NME are generally very good, whereas some other sites tend to be rather inconsistent, to say the least. An 'average' based on every opinion of every music journalist from every newspaper does not necessarily reflect what is good.
2008: Rateyourmusic.com.
An excellent site but their votes seem to be weighted by the opinions of specific groups, especially heavy metal fans.
